January 2027 Themed Issue: Qualitative Research and Evidence Synthesis in Islamic Business
BELGI: Journal of Islamic Business and Decision Sciences cordially invites scholars, researchers, graduate students, and practitioners to submit original, rigorous manuscripts employing qualitative methodologies.
Recognizing the growing importance of both primary and secondary research in advancing Islamic business sciences, the January 2027 issue is dedicated to high-quality qualitative studies.
This includes primary field research as well as rigorous secondary evidence synthesis (e.g., Systematic Literature Reviews, Umbrella Reviews, Meta-syntheses) and conceptual/theoretical papers that provide in-depth insights into decision-making within Islamic business and related disciplines.
Focus and Scope
Manuscripts must employ robust qualitative methodologies and address topics aligned with the journal's scope, including but not limited to:
1. Decision-Making Models in Islamic business contexts
2. Halal Food & Service Industries
3. Service Innovation & Customer Experience
4. Entrepreneurial Decision-Making in Muslim communities
5. Consumer Behavior in halal industries
6. Strategic Management & Sustainability
7. Ethical & Sharia-Compliant Frameworks
8. Evidence Synthesis (Systematic Reviews, Umbrella Reviews, Meta-analyses) evaluating methodological quality, research trends, or citation overlap in Islamic business domains.
9. Conceptual and Theoretical Advancements in Islamic business ethics and decision sciences.
Manuscript Requirements
- Original and unpublished work
- Clear qualitative research design (either primary field research OR rigorous secondary synthesis/conceptual framework)
- For field studies: Transparent field data collection methods.
- For synthesis/review studies: Transparent and reproducible search/selection protocols (e.g., PRISMA, AMSTAR 2, ROBIS).
- Rigorous data analysis (e.g., NVivo, thematic analysis, or established synthesis tools).
- Adherence to BELGI Article Template
- Written in professional English (US)
- CC BY 4.0 license
